Throwing in the towel on YNAB

I had delusions that budgeting software would have become easier to use compared to the last time I used it.

It's been several years since I used Mint.com and I expected YNAB.com to have leapfrogged it in ease of use.

I was wrong. YNAB doesn't seem to do all the automatic categorizing of expenses that Mint.com does.

YNAB might be better for a user who wants to manage every dollar of income and assign it to a spending category. That's a user who really needs to meet a precise spending limit.

I'm switching to MINT.com now to see if it has improved. My memory of it is that it will track my spending and each expenditure will get categorized so I can learn WHERE my money is going before I try to set limits for categories and create a full budget.
