I'm registering this phrase.
It stems from two things:
The Climate Reality Project is an apt name for acknowledging climate change.
The Financial Reality Project is my name for acknowledging financial realities. You and I all know tons of people who won't acknowledge their own financial reality and subsequently make bad financial decisions.
I view part of my job as an advisor is to bravely state to clients when they are hiding from their financial realities. It's sometimes a painful task. I could lose a client if I say it wrong. But it beats the alternative of letting the client proceed down an unrealistic path.
I'm going to open up comments for this post, with the expectation you'll suggest relevant blog posts.
