After 8 Days, Stock Market sees Slight Gain

Leadership Savannah seeks to inspire individual leadership growth by providing the learning experiences that lead to a better understanding of our community and preparation for meeting the challenges of the present and future. Leadership Savannah will support the continued development, expansion, and operation of Leadership programs, and provide a forum for exchange of community information, resources and viewpoints.

Classes are limited to 42 people and all applicants must go through selections. There are no automatic admissions.

The class is made up of a representation from a cross-section of the community. These leaders and potential leaders are active in business, education, the arts, religion, government, community-based organizations. They reflect the diversity of the community.

Forty-two individuals were chosen from the greater Savannah area to engage in a one-year commitment to improve their leadership skills so that they can improve their community.

By the end of the one year program, the participants should have:

· A better understanding of themselves and their individual leadership styles;
· Improved leaderships skills;
· Deeper knowledge of the Savannah community and how it fits in the regional, state, national, and global economy;
· Identified the major challenges facing Savannah;
· Built relationships with other class members and existing community leaders;
· Used their leadership skills to provide service to Step Up, Savannah's Anti-poverty Initiative or another community challenge;
· Developed a deep commitment to making the Savannah community a better place to live and work.

The conference is being held from October 24-27 and is comprised of sessions to enhance professional growth and business development for Investment Advisors. Iris is presenting Practice Foundation - Should I Manage Money? on October 26. She is enjoying learning about the new Social Media rules, new computer technology, meeting new people and rekindling old friendships!
